If your employer said you can dump whatever you want in it, go for it. They are the ones paying for that trash can. Think about it. If you bring in a sandwich in a ziplock bag and throw the bag away, aren't you really throwing your own trash away in their trash can? Throwing full trash bags is just on a larger scale.

Never feel bad for "robbing" someone of money they could make on you personally. It is a business. That's all there is to it. Besides, if their prices are skyrocketing, they'll make it up with whomever else they are price gouging.

By the way, you are actually helping the company because they are wasting money when their dumpster isn't full.
References :
You are not obligated by any law to use any trash company. If your employer is "offering" you use of their trash bin for free then by all means take it if it isn't too big of an inconvenience for to to take your trash there once a week. The money saved you could consider a "bonus" from you boss. Just be sure the either send an EM or Thank You card to your boss so that they know that you truly do appreciate what they are doing.
Peace & Love :)
References :
There is nothing wrong with using the employer's dumpster, as long as the employer has said that this is OK. Whether or not you choose to employ a trash collection company or not is a personal decision, much like choosing whether or not to have a bottled water delivery service at your home instead of using tap water. If you choose not to, you haven't taken anything from the company you are not using, you've just chosen not to use their services. Your employers are paying for a service that they are not fully utilizing. Personally, I think it's a great perk to be offered to employees (and my employers allow me to do the same).
