Does your landlord represent the management company? If so, then you need to get your landlord to write you a letter stating that he is letting you out of your contract and any and all financial responsibilities upon the date of execution (except for those allowed by means of damages which would come out of your deposit) written on the management company's letterhead. If the "management company" is an HOA then your landlord cannot speak for them and other penalties may arise but those would come directly from the HOA. However, if you live in an HOA area - your landlord had to give you a binder on their rules and regulations. If s/he failed to then you have a good means to fight any fees in court. Hard question to answer since I don't know if the landlord and the management company are together or not.
